173 MHz and 433 Mhz
We have improved our transmitter design to give an exceptionally lightweight, slimline transmitter with our unique screw-in antenna, perfected by us and used in all models, which allows for immediate and easy replacement.
Three standard types of transmitters are available:

Super high power transmitter gives maximum possible range - well in excess of a normal two stage unit.
Total weight (including batteries) is 10 grams.

High power transmitter operating on three volts to give maximum output combined with acceptable battery life (ten days) makes this an ideal transmitter for large hawks and falcons.
Total weight (including batteries) is 10 grams.
Models A and B are supplied with tail-mounting kit.

Small lightweight encapsulated transmitter designed specifically for merlins, sparrowhawks, kestrels etc. This model uses the smallest commercially available battery.
Total weight (including battery) is 5 grams.
- Rechargable Cat/Dog transmitters are also available (collar not included)
Each transmitter is guaranteed for 90 days
from the date of purchase, subject to normal usage.

Your transmitter will give many years of reliable service if it is well maintained.

All battery and contact surfaces must be clean and free of dirt and grease and contrary to popular belief, hawk mutes and egg yoke do not improve performance.

Most of the repair problems that occur are due to over-tightening the battery cap, which causes permanent damage to the transmitter.

The cap only needs to be tight enough to activate the unit.
